Within the past 24 hours, Mayfield has filed a lawsuit while having one made against him.

He is suing his stepmother with claims of a wrongful death statement of his father, Terry Mayfield.  It only says that “as a direct and proximate result of the defendant’s intentional acts, the decedent Terry Allen Mayfield was killed by a gunshot wound.”  He believes his stepmother drove Jeremy’s father to shoot himself because of her known affairs with another man.  The man even broke up with his girlfriend and moved in with Lisa.  Mayfield also claims that Lisa squandered a loan that his father took out to build a barn.

On to the lawsuit against Mayfield.  Apparently he has four different engine bills from four different events.  Arrington Manufacturing Provided engines for Mayfield Motorsports for the Sprint Cup races at Phoenix, Talladega, Richmond, Darlington, and Charlotte as well as the Sprint Showdown race that preceded the all-star event.  They agreed on the reasonable price of $71,000 plus attorneys fees.  Triad Racing Technologies is also suing Mayfield for $86,304 for unpaid bills.  Wow.
