A man living the fast life wrecked on the N.C 152

2023016_7_3_featureThis past Sunday, September 13, Tony Ralph Eury Sr. collided with Dorothy Louise Stevens and her 13-year-old grand daughter shortly before 7 p.m. at the intersection of Stirewalt Road and N.C. 152, west of China Grove.  Tony Ralph Eury Sr., an uncle of Dale Earnhardt Jr., was released from CMC-NorthEast Monday.  Stevens failed to stop at a stop sign, and she still remains in the hospital in fair condition.  They are not releasing any information on her grand daughter.

A Landis firefighter had pulled Stevens and her grand daughter from their burning car, after it had come within 15 feet of a house.  The firefighters were worried the house would catch fire, but luckily they put it out in time.  Eury was able to get out of his truck on his own, retreating from the thick smoke.

Eury, who previously worked at DEI, is director of competition for JR Motorsports which fields the No. 88 Brad Keselowski team in the Nationwide series.
