Nascar To Streamline Its Licensing Program
Nascar has been in the news lately with losing man sponsorships and programs due to bankruptcy. Well now, Nascar has decided to try to get one step ahead of the plague that has been haunting the organization. In this case being its licensing business.
Now, this particular part of nascar makes all of the t-shirts the fans wear to the races, to all of the cars the little kids play with possible. And by the looks of it, the meeting that nascar held on the issues were very popular. Over 20 teams representing the top forty nascar drivers. Some big names includes Joe Gibbs, Hendrick Motorsports general manager, and Dale Earnhardt Jr’s licensing chief even attended. Which that is great news seeing as that he is Nascars most popular diver with over one third of the sports merchandise.
Now a lot of concern that is hovering over nascars licensing deal all lies with a company called Motorsports Authentics. Many teams, including the ones that attended Nascars meeting feel that MA is on the brink of collapse. and if that company go’s bust, there wont be any nascar products out on the market for a considerable amount of time.
