NASCAR Hall of Fame Update

By now you probably already know who the Inaugural Class of the NASCAR Hall of Fame are. You are also probably belly achin’ with everybody else over the omission of one of the sports most decorated champions, David Pearson. Personally, I applaud the selections of Bill France, his son Bill Jr., Junior Johnson, Richard Petty, and of course Dale Earnhardt. Pearson is an awesome driver, but I believe he wasn’t selected so as to honor the nominees who are no longer with us.
In other Hall of Fame news, a brand new racing simulator powered by iRacing is to be set up inside the massive complex. It has been reported that seven two-seat NASCAR stock car
replicas will house these state of the art simulators and will include the ability to race your favorite tracks with your favorite drivers. Steve Myers, executive producer of iRacing said “We’re honored that the NASCAR Hall of Fame selected iRacing to develop the part of the visitor experience that actually puts fans behind the wheel of a NASCAR Sprint Cup car for the most realistic possible virtual driving experience.”
