Mark Martin is in second place in the cup series points 187 points behind Jimmy Johnson who has just been dominating the whole year as well as the race to the chase, with only three races left , Mark has to really turn up the volume or he will find himself finishing 2nd place in the chase.Even though he wrecked at Taladega he still has a great chance to win the cup series this year. Mark needs to win a race in the next few races so he can catch Jimmy.If Mark does not win it is going to be real hard for him to win the title.
