Ecclestone Vs. BRDC

Bernie Ecclestone has threatened to remove the British Grand Prix from the 2010 calendar if the British Drivers Club fail to sign a contract in the coming days. Ecclestone and the BRDC, who own the Silverstone, have been discussing this and have been since Donnington Park’s interest in hosting the Grand Prix waned due to lack of funds. BRDC’s president Damon Hill was part of a three strong Silverstone delegation in Abu Dhabi last weekend, and he said “Ecclestone must be patient”. Ecclestone was quoted saying ” They say there is not much between us and them, so they should sign”. “Maybe they lost their pen, but if they don’t find it in the next day or two, then that’s it”! “I will pull the race off the calendar and there will be no British Grand Prix to argue about”.
I look forward to finding out what the decision on this matter will be and how the BDRC and Ecclestone will handle it all. Check back in a few days and I will have the latest details on this story.
