Memphis Motorsports Park closes
Well, after being unable to secure finacing, Memphis Motor park will now, officially be closing. This announcement comes a few months after Dover Motorsports planed to stop operations there. Many had hope that the speedway would be bought and remain open. However, that deal fell through just a few days ago and now the speed way has to go.
Many also figured that the park would stay because of the deal. In fact, nascar planned races there, the last one being this Sunday. This race won’t be affected by the announcement, but future events will not be coming the the speed way. Instead they will have to move to somewhere else. Also, people are questioning whether this will affect the NHRA Full Throttle Series. We haven’t heard from them et so it ought to be interesting what their future plans are.
