Toyota Says No To Selling Off F1 Team

by admin - November 6th, 2009. Filed under: formula 1.

Alright, yesterday we reported that Toyota, the last Japanese manufacturer in formula 1 will be quitting after this year. Now some of you might have had the a great idea. “why doesn’t Toyota just sell their team?” This isn’t a half bad idea, BMW did it when they stopped, and and Honda had the decency to let there staff move to other teams. So why won’t Toyota do the same? Well according to John Howett. Those ideas have already been thought of and rejected.
Apparently, He has already requested this option, but Toyota has rejected this plan with no reason why. Well they might not need one though. A lot of technology go’s into an F1 car, and maybe Toyota doesn’t want that tech to get into the wrong hands, or in this case, the competition. So maybe there is a method behind the madness, maybe Toyota has had this planned out for a long time. But its not like they will be telling us this.
