Hendrick claims Knaus deal in the works
It seems that after Jimmie Johnson’s fourth championship win, Hendrick Motorsports is keen on keeping the number 48 team together. It was only a few weeks ago when Johnson announced that he just received a contract renewal up to the 2015 season. So, it looks like now it is Chad’s turn to get some new cash.
Now the details on this new contract extension haven’t been released yet, we can be assured that Hendrick will be Throwing money at him. After all, you don’t lead a team to 47 victories and 4 championships and not receive some serious cash. It is also likely that this extension will last until 2015, like Johnson’s. That way, Hendrick can keep their two best employees together.
Still, it is nice to see that Hendrick Doesn’t mind giving out extra cash, but can you blame them. Sure, not everyone likes Johnson and Knaus together, especially when they win races. But you got to admit, they are the best in the Sport.
