Road America Hosting A Nationwide Series Event
When the news came that the monster mile would nolonger host events, nascar was still able to find a way to make sure Wisconsin would still hold a Nationwide series event. This news is important to the state who holds a 17 year record of hosting nascar events.
Now, the 14 turn legendary road course will replace the monster mile in the schedule after nascar was unable to find a suitable promoter for the event. Even so, some drivers think that this change isn’t that bad, after all Road America is a great race course that has an even bigger history then the monster mile, and since it is a road course, you can be sure that there will be some good racing there. Speaking of history, nascar hasn’t held an event at Road America since 1956 so this really is a surreal moment for the sport. But hey, maybe 40 plus years is just enough to build the anticipation for the race.
