This just in: the Chicago Bulls will not need Dwight Howard to win the title.

Why?

Pundits say they’re sure of winning without making any major moves. They have been the best defensive team, the first in defensive efficiency and the second best rebounding team.

That only shows that they do not really need Howard, because the team is already operating well with or without him.

Add to that, columnists say that the Chicago Bulls already have some of the NBA’s best players (Noah, Asik, Gibson, Boozer, Deng and Hamilton). Howard’s presence is just a bonus.

Playing “away” always reveals a lot about a team early on in a season. Weaknesses are revealed, and strengths are pinpointed for development. The Chicago Bulls finished their first road trip of the season with a sound 3-1 record. Now it’s full steam ahead for the Bulls, who fly back this weekend & face Memphis on New Year’s Day.

The Bulls players expressed disappointment that they lost to Golden State on their recent road trip. Center Joakim Noah said, “The NBA season is such a roller coaster. One day you feel like you’re on top of the world when you beat the Lakers and then the next night you lose against Golden State. But it’s all about bouncing back and having the mindset of just getting better every day. We know we have a ways to go, but it was definitely a good win for us tonight.”
