Saturday, November 28th, 2009Zhu Zhu yourself right down to Walmart to buy your kids a Zhu Zhu pet. Or you can buy one on Amazon, but you better do so quickly. The manufacturer may not be able to keep up with the demand. These laid back surfing hamsters are apparently the latest rage.
Not only are 2009 Black Friday sales stimulating our economy, they are being driven by big screen TVs and a new pet – the Zhu Zhu pet.
Time Magazine reported that 2009 Black Friday sales were bustling.
Retailers across the board reported strong crowds early Friday, with high-definition televisions, laptops, winter coats and the popular toy Zhu-Zhu pets among the hottest items. “There were bargain-hungry shoppers out there, and retailers really did pull out all the stops for people,” says Kathy Grannis, a spokesperson for the National Retail Federation, noting that many of the day’s hot item carried the steepest discounts.
