As Halloween fast approaches, you might be tempted to break open a few of the classic scary movies. One of the best by far is the omen from 1972. A little boy who is the spawn of the devil, and terrorizes his family, That’s tones of fun. But not many people realized what occurred when it was being made.
Now, The Omen might be about a cursed family, but the movies production might as well be cursed. The scriptwriter David Seltzer, star Gregory Peck and executive producer Mace Neufeld were all struck by lightning when they were outside writing before production even started. Then when production did manage to start, the hotel that the crew were staying in was bombed by the IRA, so to was the restaurant where the movies director Richard Donner and cast were scheduled to eat. No one died.
But the worst fate was given to special effects consultant John Richardson. On Friday the 13 of all days, Richardson Crashed his car in Holland, He was ejected from the car but managed to survive. However, when he looked up, the first thing he saw was a road sigh that said Ommen, 66.6km, Freaky huh.
Well, the Omen wight be the worlds best scary movie, but it also has the title of cursed movie as well. Do you believe in god and the devil, I sure don’t but after all of this, i bet the rest of the crew did.
