I’m not a big fan of courtrooms. They feel tense to me, and really, that makes sense… Being in court means being part of a legal conflict, and conflicts of any kind can be a source of tension, stress and negative feelings.

I went to college at a small liberal arts school on the east coast. It was a beautiful campus with a broad, green lawn that invited students to sit and study, play Frisbee or just lie in the sun. On my first day at school, as I was walking past that lovely lawn, I noticed a group of guys playing something I hadn’t seen in person before: lacrosse.
