We recieved a Keurig brewer for X-Mas. My husband loves the Green Mountain hot cocoa…not too sweet, just right.

I was super excited when I brought the Keurig 70 Machine because I was able to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee when needed and my kids can enjoy a cup of hot cocoa. I must say though I am very disappointed with the hot cocoa. I have tried all 4 settings and the cocoa tastes like hot water with a hint of chocolate. Too bad I just wasted $10 on a box of cocoa and now I have to throw them away. Its bad enough these K-cups are turning out to be an expense instead of money in my pocket. I was able to get a can of my favorite coffee on sale at my local supermarket for $3.00 which lasted me about 3 weeks and now a box of K-cups is costing me about $10 for 1 week and a half.

I absolutely love my Keurig coffee and cannot keep it on the shelf. So, as a mother of 5 children – I was thrilled with the idea of individual k-cup cocoa cups as an alternative to coffee. It is awful. Not one of my children like or will drink it. It’s more like chocolate flavored water, no matter how small of a cup I chose. Great idea- but they need to revamp it.

I agree with the other negative reviews of this product. Not only is the final result very watery, but it also has an awful chemical taste to it. Definitely will NOT be purchasing this again.

I love my Keurig for a convenient cup of coffee at work, but the Keurig CAN NOT make hot cocoa. For one thing, the little K-cups do not hold enough cocoa mix to make a decent cup of cocoa even on the smallest cup setting. To make matters even worse, out of what little cocoa there is, only half of it dissolves. My wife called Green Mountain to complain, and they told her to try shaking the K-cups. We tried that, and it DOESN’T WORK, not even a little bit. Half of the cocoa still gets left in the k-cup. The only way to get a decent cup of cocoa from these is to open up TWO k-cups, dump all of the cocoa mix from both them into your cup, and run hot water through the Keurig on the smallest cup setting, then stir very well. So much for convenience. Save yourself a ton of hassle and money and just buy a canister of hot cocoa from the grocery store. The thing that really gets me is how Green Mountain claims it has such a commitment to high standards of quality, and yet they continue to sell this garbage. Their coffee has been good so far, but what’s up with this? If they really wanted to earn a reputation for quality, they would recall all of the hot cocoa K-cups, apologize for this lapse in quality control judgement, and stop selling them completely!
