Peta I Hate You
Here is the letter I am sending to Ingrid Newkirk the president of peta
Dear Ingird Newkirk,
It has come to my attention recently that you are a terrible animal rights activist. For starters I want to point out the obvious, that we are all animals. You yourself has in the past said this. Now acknowledging that we are all animals should get us some equal treatment right? A man eating a burger should be punished the same as a lion eating a gazelle. Promoting terroism against people, and therefor animals, seems a bit hypocrytical to me.
Regardless of how you devalue human life, you seem to hold animal life in high regard. That is at least publicly of course. You yourself speak against animal testing, and the use of animals in drugs. Well I guess I can understand that, except for the fact that your life is owed to the doctors who tested on animals. In fact the same medicine you use to treat your diabetes is made from…well animals. For shame Ingird, killing poor animals like that.
Perhaps Ingird you only take your insulin to save animals? That is admirable I suppose. I just read that you save 7 pets last year. Aww having been a foster home for many many dogs I understand how hard it is to save that many animals in a year. Then again since you put to death 2216 other pets your success rate is not very impressive. I understand putting animals to sleep in a humane way, but at the same time you were having that done, yo uwere speaking out against shelters who were doing the same thing you were. Shelters that have a higher animal survival rate than you!
Basically Ingird as a vegetarian, and an animal rights activisit I would like to thank you for your attempt at helping our cause, but I have to politely ask you to stop. Your hypocrosy and extreme demonstrations do nothing but hurt vegetarians and vegans alike.

great letter! i’m a vegetarian and i hate PETA. they’re liars, hypocrites, and terrorists. anyone who actually cares about human and animal rights should stay away from them.

Against vegetarians?! I don’t understand how anyone can actually be against something like that (and I do know that there are people who are). It seems to me a pretty frivolous thing to be against.

Unbelievable. Shocking. Outrageous. These statistics are stomach turning. It is unfortunate that an organization that could do so much good is all bark and not bite.

David…I really appreciate your article. I have heard some pretty bad things about PETA and their numbers of euthanized animals but had never seen the specs. I was actually talking today to a friend about PETA and how hypocritical they were in picking on our president for swatting a fly. I personally eat a lot of vegetarian meals but am not completely a vegetarian at this current season in my life. Here are some articles that I thought that you would appreciate. Greg Boyd has done some teachings that have really helped me get a scriptural and historical context for my thoughts. There are many times that I think things but have trouble getting them collected in a way that communicates well. I think that he is one of the most intelligible teachers of our time and I encourage you to read through his blogs. Blessings.

I am against animal testing for medicines, but I understand it. I don’t really see a way to get around it. *Shrugs*

I agree, the whole idea behind peta is a good one. But I think they come as close to accomplishing their mission as most communist countries do to practicing true communism. Just because something sounds good in theory does not mean it will work in real life. PEOPLE will inevitably screw it up!!!

why do so many people say that eating meat is murder. just because it has a brain that you can point to means that it is more a living creature than the plants you consume that have a cellular brain that can be pointed at with a microscope? because it can move freely and acts upon a “free will” over “instinct” that it is more living than the beings with feet that move more so vertical than horizontal? Because the creatures you say i murder have a parent that stuck around for more than the first day of it’s life and tought it one or two things that it is more liveing than the species that tosses their seed into an open feild and allows the offspring to generate it’s own living environment and life? if you wish to classify me killing something that makes a sound as murder than i shall point right back to you and say you murder the living life of those that remain silent
I have never, nor will I ever say that eating animals is unethical. Besides its the consciousness of animals that makes people, like myself, not want to eat them. Also its not the eating of the animals, but the treatment of the animals prior to eating. This is why I support hunting(though again not for me)

are you saying that only meaty animals have a conscious? or are you saying that your conscious prevents you from eating them? and don’t think that just because the plants live through their lives on routine instinct and age old habits that there is no conscious thought.
As an Animal Welfare supporter, she not just hurting Vegetarians and Vegans, she hurting everyone because she interfering with peoples interest for the sake of animals. In my humble opinion “Animal Welfare” seems to makes more sense than “Animal Rights” because it’s involves proper treatment of animals without interfering with peoples interest.
There is definitely a different level of consciousness in plants than there is in animals. Perhaps the only reason why we would eat plants rather than animals is because their consciousness is closer to ours(not higher), and that similarity makes it difficult to eat them. I mean you would prefer to avoid eating a human, some people jsut take that idea further.
i wouldn’t avoid eating a human. I am strongly in tuned to the eld animism that when you consume something that you as well consume the nature of it. Therefore eating another human would add onto the physical and mental prowess that i already contain.
i don’t remember exactly but there used to be an eld Indian tribe that would consume the warriors they killed in battle in order to gain the strengths of their enemy and bring more power to themselves.
ok so lets say you want to eat people, you are not going to torture them first are you? Or rather place them through unnecessary pain?
no it’s a waste of time. by the time i do all that i could already be on my second plate.
the reason that it is claim as a torturous and inhuman way of treatment before killing the animals for food is because they are being killed just for food, the people doing the raising and killing know and don’t care for the better treatment when they are just going to eat them.
