Here is a great digital picture frame. It has an 11-inch viewing area. This is larger than most. This digital picture frame stores up to 2,000 pictures with its 128 MB internal memory. Also play music and some videos. I just opened up my personal digital frame and haven’t yet figured out how to play video on it. I highly recommend you read the included instructions first. I’ve been wanting to own a digital picture frame for a long time. I debated on whether or not I should buy one from Wal-Mart–a simple, 7 inch one I thought would be just perfect. Then I found this amazing deal online and thought it was a joke at first…most digital frames this size cost anywhere from 100-200 dollars! But no, it was for real–so I ordered it and waited impatiently for it to be delivered.I was so excited to use it!! When I finally received it and set it up, it was even better then I thought. My pictures looked amazing and there’s plenty of internal space. Installation is also fairly easy; I’m not good at technical stuff like that so if I can figure it out, anyone who can read directions will be able to. I do use an SD card for this but you don’t really need one, you can download pictures from your computer straight to this device! I have almost 1, 000 pics on mine…pretty much every pic I have ever taken over the past 4 years I get to see in a slideshow every time I turn it on. I too get plenty of compliments from family and friends when they come over and see my frame and all the memories it holds…this is an awesome product and I’m glad I spent the money on it. Highly recommended!!

I love the Vista Frame so much, I’ve just ordered 3 more for family gifts. All the original problems listed in the reviews have been fixed by the manufacturer. If the frame goes into sleep mode (overnight when no motion is sensed), it wakes up and goes right back into slideshow mode without having to restart with the menu buttons. The color is great and the photos are viewable from all angles. I haven’t experienced any flickering problems.
My digital camera allows me to upload photos from my pc hardrive onto the compact flash card so I was able to create cards with different groups of pictures for different family members.
This digital frame would make an excellent gift!

I disagree with the other reviewer and feel that there’s nothing wrong with this frame for the low price. It’s nice that you have multiple still photos in the frame even if you do not have the LCD screen powered on.

PROs:
Excellent image quality for both pictures and videos. Scales large images to 800×600 very good.
Random Image viewing.
Extensive memory card options.
Quick and effortless slide show.
Very nice TFT adjustment capability: (Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Hue, Sharpness).
During slide show if one presses the INFO button, it will display image stats and details on the screen for each pic.
During a video play, the INFO button alternates between time left to play, time played, and no time display options.
CONs:
No internal memory other than the inserted memory card.
Bad documentation.
No USB connection to PC. The USB connection on the unit is for attaching flash drives only.
Does not retain settings after poweroff and does not save them to preferences folder even though it displays the folder itself.
Slide show delay ranges from 1-10 secs only.
Video display very cumbersome unless in the right format and size to begin with.
No sound capability.
Remote works but buttons are very close together and forces one to press using fingertips or nails. Otherwise one hits the wrong keys by mistake.
COMMENTS:
While the image displays worked without any effort and slide shows were very easy to setup, the video displays were very cumbersome. I could not find a format that made the AVI files work. I tried 8 different codecs to encode the files and neither was recognized. I submitted a tech support question to Royal asking for the proper encoding for the AVI files. While the documentation says that it will display mpeg files, it does not work with regular mpeg (mpeg1 and mpeg2) files. The only mepg format I could make it display was MP4. In MP4 format it displayed 320×240, 480×272, and 480×320. I could get it to play a 45 minute video of 203MB size without a problem.
Overall it does what it is supposed to do – display images in high quality. All the quirks are workable. I would recommend the product highly.

I have purchased several frames by Portable USA. The reason I stick with this brand is that the products are wonderful and they have the best customer service. They are really nice. Anyway, I usually give digital frames to my clients as gifts. They are always impressed. I stumbled upon this one a couple of weeks ago. I thought it would be a great gift for my client’s wedding.
