Waterworld of California

by dynamitefalls - August 12th, 2009

Waterworld, as it’s name implies, isn’t a roller coaster park at all. It is a wild water park full of rushing rapids, skyscraping water rides, and soaked kids enjoying their time in the sun. Nothing beats spending a hot summer day lazily drifting along the Lazy River or rocking the innertube down the Big Kahuna.

Waterworld is a kids dream play ground. A place that is the true epitome of summer, fun, and friends. Parents relax on beach chairs while their children scamper about the park taking in every attractions.

Between riding the Tornado and enjoying the wave pool you might stop at the penguin exhibit or pop in to see the otters. And while you are their while not see a show or too.

Waterworld is a wonderful adventure and a great place to spend a day or too. Just don’t forget to put on sunscreen…if you don’t you are sure to get a sunburn!

EPCOT

by dynamitefalls - August 12th, 2009

I know what your thinking! EPCOT? On a blog about small amusement parks? I know it’s part of Disney and it’s huge. But I have my reasons.

I have been to EPCOT more times than I have fingers. It is a very symbolic park for me, since I love to travel and I love seeing and experiencing new cultures. I have had so many memories from EPCOT, whether it be with my family, my friends and/or my girlfriend. EPCOT is a very enjoyable park that takes you on the intellectual roller coaster of Culture and Life. You learn new things every time you go and seeing new things every timme you go. Your mind races from the Boat/Gondola Rides in Mexico to the Beautiful courtyard at the American Adventure to the charming environment of France. The awesome rides that EPCOT has, like Test Track and Mission SPACE, keep your heart pumping and give you a huge adrenaline boost, but they teach you all about the rides and their topic while our there. There are boat rides in the Lagoon and many different courts and buildings full of stores and rides. You can also never forget the classic view of the Spaceship Earth ride, which is EPCOT’s icon and is also known as the Golf Ball. It is definitely worth going at least twice, because you learn a lot more the second time around.

Six Flags Marine World

Six Flags Marine World Medusa

Six Flags Marine World Medusa

When looking for adventure look no farther than Six Flags Marine World. All the fun of a local park multiplied by skyscraping coasters. Nothing can beat the thrill of zooming up, upside down, and backwards.

Six Flags Marine World has some of the most exciting roller coasters in California. Medusa is sure to have you scared silly, but leave you craving another ride. Smooth, fast, and exhilarating, this ride twists and turns and flings you upside down. The boomerang sends to flying backwards. Its a ride for someone with a strong stomach. Rickey Roar has you clanking along as though you are riding one of the newest roller coasters.

As a child I was terrified of roller coasters, convinced that if I were to get on one it would surely fall. But Six Flags Marine World changed all that for the better. I was dragged onto Medusa and made to ride the coaster even I screamed for someone to let me off. Once the ride was over I was in love with it. I road it six more times that day.

So if you are ever in the Bay Area of California plan a day trip to Six Flags Marine World.

Renaissance Fun Park

by dynamitefalls - August 11th, 2009

Located in Louisville, Kentucky, Renaissance Fun Park looks like a nice family park. It has two 18-hole mini-golf courses, complete with ponds and bridges. It has a nice sized arcade that holds about 30 arcade games. The big Party Rooms can be rented out for birthday parties or get-togethers. The parks has a LaserTag Arena and a large Kiddie Playground. There is a covered picnic area and it is right next to a volleyball court and the Go-Kart track. The Go-Kart track is fairly large and is about $7 for a ride. Companies can also sponsor a Go-Kart, which is basically putting your logo on it for the people to never notice, but see anyways. Haha! It looks like it would be a fun place to go to, especially if you havee small children.
