Those words ring true for The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, were a sandy summer beach meets a wild amusement park.
The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk seems as though it is out of the pages of history, a time when summer sun was all that mattered. With its local charm and wide variety in rides, this amusement park has people from all over the area swarming it’s gates. Whether you want to lay out on the beach and tan your skin golden or feel the thrill of the Giant Dipper roller coaster, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk has something for everyone.
When summer rolls around this park seems to light up with enthusiastic performers, flashing lights, whirling rides, and happy faces. The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is the quintessential image of fun in the sun. Its no surprise that the local families make many a visit during the summer months.
I myself visited the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk as a child and it was a day of firsts. First theme park I had ever been to. First roller coaster I had ever ridden. First for cotton candy, which I got stuck all in my hair.
There is something magical about that local theme park that you go to with your family. As wonderous and impressive as the big parks are, the loose something in their size. They loose the since of family and community. Its replaced with too many people, too high prices, and endless lines.
