Why Relegation makes the EPL better than MLB

One of the reasons I love the EPL is Relegation. Relegation is the system used in the EPL in which the bottom 3 finishers in the regular season or dropped, or “relegated” to a lower level of competition and the top 3 teams from the lower level are promoted to the EPL. Essentially, the EPL rewards underachievement from the lower leagues and punishes under performers. Just imagine if Major League Baseball adopted the same approach. Your perennial cellar dwellers (i.e. Kansas City Royals, Washington Nationals) would be dropped down to Triple A status, while some enterprising team like the New Orleans Zephyrs or the like could compete in the bigs.
