Palisades Interstate Park

 

If you are looking for local events for this winter or early spring in Alpine, New Jersey, this post is for you. We have a compiled a few adventures that are family friendly, as well as pet friendly. If you love the whole outdoorsy thing Alpine, New Jersey takes it to a whole other level.

The Palisades Interstate Park has numerous events that are fun for the entire family. The Palisades Interstate is a designated Historical Landmark that offers 30 miles of great hiking trails. For example, Hike For Dogs: Alpine Cliff Top, is a hike for people and their four legged family members. It is a 3 mile journey through the Palisades park. This event takes place February 26th. In the spring in this park there is Hooked on Hudson which offers a fishing competition, environmental booths, and much more for the family right here in the Palisades. This even takes place April 21st.

If you love history and revisiting where troops who fought for our country walked this is the place for you. This trail was used by British troops trying to get Cornwallis before he reached Trenton. Here you can walk the same path and take a trip back in time.

As you can see there are a lot of things for the family and even your pets to do right here in Alpine, New Jersey.
