Haier recently unveiled this entirely wireless HD TV at the Consumer Electronics Show. Wireless cable and wirelessly powered. That’s right, don’t adjust your sets, this amazing TV is being powered by electricity WIRELESSLY. This is one of the most amazing technological inventions in the past 20 years, if not more. It is powered by a 1 x 1 foot coil that receives electricity wirelessly and powers the TV. Video is also sent to the TV wirelessly using the Wireless Home Digital Interface which is capable of streaming 1080p video at 3Gbps from up to 100 feet away. This technology will probably not be available in any consumer items this year but you can bet we will be seeing it soon. It just would not be cost-effective and practical with the technology at the stage its in. Check out this great demo-vid and here’s hoping we see this tech sooner rather than later!
