FYI, the water temp is up to 120-degrees now. Based on discussions with an HVAC professional this should mean we can do a good size radiant-floor loop and pull 3 to 4 gallons per minute of water through the mound. The water returning to the mound will be in the 90 degree range, so it will require less time to warm that water back up to 120+.

So this means that on top of providing 90% of our hot water, this system will provide a good amount of heat for our home, providing us with warm floors 24/7 without burning anything! I’m sure we’ll still need a fire in the woodstove at least once per day, but this hopefully means we can run the wood stove 10 hours per day instead of 20! we’ll see. But it’s definitely working.
