I have an obsession with people’s shoes. Not everyone..  mainly the people who I have my eye on. I’m not so much worried about the condition of my own shoes as much as I am about others. I don’t know what it is about a dirty pair of sneakers, but it completely turns me off. Call me shallow all you want, but we all have our own opinions. I have spent most of my years acquiring this obsession. Even when I’m not meaning to, I catch myself looking at a man’s feet before I look at his face. I guess I feel like, your shoes are a reflection of you. If you are always wearing the same pair of yellow Nike’s, which I know were white when you bought them, you probably wont get that date you wanted with me. I don’t consider myself a gold-digger, I just don’t want you if you’re broke. For Christ’s sake, you can get a decent pair of sneakers from Walmart for $9.99.  And, when I see your soles start flapping in the front as if they were beginning to have a conversation with me, that’s probably the only conversation you’re getting. I like a man with a fresh pair of kicks. It shows me that you care about your personal appearance, which must mean you take care of yourself, and you probably take care of your woman. I don’t easily reveal this obsession to others. Most people would probably think I was pretty chauvinistic and snobby. Needless to say, don’t ask me for my number with some dirty old Converse on; I’ll probably redirect you to the nearest shoe store.
