Wow, this is pretty amazing. Curt Carish is a very lucky man to have found a hidden treasure in a fish. He grabbed this 10-inch Kauai fish slow fish with his hands after hitting it with a bamboo stick until it went limp. His friend had said to, and then he threw the fish into his cooler. Something was off about this fish, between it’s unusual swim, to it’s disproportionally big belly. When he opened up the cooler again, he found a gold watch next to the fish’s mouth, still ticking and maintaining the right time. What an amazing thing to find, for the story, and for the extra money(:
The new
series that started yesterday, June 2, is an amazingly horrifying reality check that everybody needs to see. This is so realistic as to what can happen, that
is airing it after extensive research of these possibilities. They claim this is a new kind of journalism. This show portrays the life of Lucy, a girl born in 2009, and how her life would be in the future if our worldly habits towards our natural resources continue in this destructive and careless fashion. According to Sarah Knoploh from The Wall Street Journal, this show depicts, “if we don’t take drastic measures immediately climate change will cause droughts, floods, mass migration, and starvation.”
Being environmentally conscious already, I almost just try to ignore what is happening around me. I feel like I can only do my part, and I feel like a vast majority of people will not change so ignoring the future is the semi-easiest thing.
I should definitely not be sitting here and doing this, I am sure that there are big groups I can join or support. I can definitely speak out and educate myself even more on the facts about how we are destroying our planet and what we can do to help. I do have an account on ning.com and I am in the group Teens For Planet Earth. This is a little group, but it has good support. My account is at: http://teensforplanetearth.ning.com/profile/Kimberly and I do not have too much contributed, but I will do more now.
It is not a matter of tree-hugging or being a hippie or something, especially now. Now it is just complete ignorance and irresponsibility that will lead our future generations straight into a terrible mess. With everything free, there comes responsibility. We live on this planet for free and we need to do our part to take care of it.
Gosh!!
Alright, here is the video.
Dr. Ivan Pavlov was a Russian physiologist, psychologist, and physician. He made many great studies and discoveries, but one of them started out by him studying dog’s saliva and how it worked. The original realization was that dog’s mouths would start salivating before they saw or smelled their food, when a certain signal was sounded before they got their food everyday. The ring of the bell meant food was on its way, so the dogs digestive system already started running. This got Pavlov into studying the psychic reactions of the dog’s response to sound instead.
Scientists now are studying along the same idea of sound reaction, but with fish. The trick scientists are trying to figure out, is to teach fish to ‘catch themselves’ when they hear a certain tone. Weird?
After reading this and reading about the $270,000 grant donated by the government towards this research project, I was a little irritated and upset at the waste of money and time. I mean, they just want the fish to jump into the net instead of fishermen just catching them?
This is what it seems like at first, but it is actually a pretty good goal. What they are really trying to do is train farming fish to be able to go and live in natural outside water sources, and then to return every few days when they make that specific ‘feeding time’ tone to feed them and bring them back. This way, they are there when they are big enough to turn into food, but it ends up saving farmers tons of money of fish food for them for those few days that they are gone. Fish from farmers is a very important contribution to the world’s supply of seafood. This also keeps the fish more natural.

There are different questions as to whether it would really save everybody money or not, the big one being will they return to the sound after being given so much freedom? Also, even if they did, would the amount of the fish eaten by natural enemies end up costing them money?
Just a fishy tale I wanted to share, I hope the best for the farmers(:
There is an annual protest that their government is expecting to happen against them in China, and they don’t want their citizens to be able to form this, or at least not as easily so they are blocking twitter from the Chinese internet. This is not the only thing they have blocked from their citizens, they sometimes block youtube and different news websites.
This makes me feel so bad for the citizens in China where there is no stability of justice for them. It is so amazing in America, and I wish everyone, including myself really appreciated it.
Where I found this information (after I heard of it off of Twitter) :

No More For China
