This article discusses the importance of interventions against diseases
Early diabetes mellitus sysmtoms , a glimpse of the process and the five main pillars of handling. Diabetes prevalence is increasing, the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) estimates that approximately 177 million people worldwide have diabetes, most of which included diabetes mellitus (DM) type 2.

WHO predicts within 3 years diabetes victims worldwide can achieve 300 million citizens of the world. In Indonesia alone, in year 2000 people with DM to reach 5.6 million. In the year 2020 the number of victims predicts to reach 8.2 million peoples without serious concern DM will be a burden for the country. Therefore, early intervention is imperative. Back to the diabetes ,DM is a condition of hyperglycemia (the increase of blood sugar amount) chronic in which if not properly managed it will result in complications, mikrovaskular or makrovaskular in various organs of the body, eg eyes, kidneys, stroke, heart, and nerves. If the blood sugar levels over the threshold ,the renal glucose will then come out through the urine, that’s why this condition named “swear pee”in Indonesian country.

The origins of DM :Food coming into our bodies then our system will broken all the material there in into smaller particles. Carbohydrates into glucose, proteins into amino acids, and fats into fatty acids. After that, in order to serve all three must be entered into the cell to be processed.

. When insulin works the glucose accumulate in the blood. The situation is causing the body to become weak and tired because body has no energy source in the cell.

There are 2 types of DM: DM type 1 and type 2. In type 1 DM is an autoimmune reaction that caused the pancreatic beta cells that produce insulin can not function, so that in this type there is no insulin. In type 2 diabetes normal amount of insulin, but insulin receptors located on the cell surface is less, so the amount of glucose entering a cell, and glucose in the blood increases. Suspected causes of obesity (overweight).

To counter all of that situation.it needed Five Pillars of DM management where the purpose is to maintain blood glucose levels normal, avoid the complications of acute and chronic complications. educating the public understanding of DM will be enough to reduce the risk of complications

Diabetes could regenerated to other generation, and it time for people to take action from now with doing small activity like sport, because one

From many benefits of sports, one of which is to increase the sensitivity of insulin to control blood glucose levels, and this activity also believe could lower circulating levels of insulin during the active exercise.

Conclusion: The number of people with diabetes continues to increase, so that early intervention is needed to prevent a large burden on the country’s future. In Diabetes management the 5 important pillar is: educating the public about the DM, physical activity, nutrition regulation, pharmacology and monitor therapy. With these five pillars it is expected the complaint of diabetes mellitus disease can be controlled or reduce
