Loose Screws in St. Augustine is one of the coolest locally owned businesses I have been to. Inside you will find an endless collection of counter culture apparel, B-Movies and cult films, underground and local music, and so much more! Every time you go there they have different items in stock because when they sell out of an item it is usually not reproduced so there is the possibility of seeing something new you like every time. They feature a lot of local art and music in their store as well as works from popular underground artists. The staff is very friendly and very against the grain themselves. They do great work for the community such as their Food Not Bombs program where they feed the homeless vegetarian meals at least 3 times a week. For some vagrants this is their only constant source of food and has become a lifesaver. Everything inside Loose Screws is also priced fairly so you get unique items for a good price, which can’t be said about massive chains like Hot Topic or Spencers. Next time you are in the area check this store out. I guarantee you will find at least one thing that grabs your attention enough to buy it.
