Pirate Bay is running out of options
Though in the movies pirates always draw a huge fan base, the people in the Netherlands and in Hollywood are not a fan of Pirate Bay.
The Netherland courts ruled in a lawsuit brought by Stichting Brein, a Netherlands-based organization of copyright-holding companies, that The Pirate Bay needs to make its service inaccessible in the Netherlands. If they fail to comply they will face a fine of 30,000 Euros a day, up to 3 million Euros.
Earlier this week a group of Hollywood studios asked a Swedish court to halt The Pirate Bay from making copyrighted movies avaliable for mass downloads.
It seems like The Pirate Bay isn’t finding a warm welcome anywhere.
Spelling is Crucial When Getting to Your Destination through GPS
A Swedish couple unfortunately were completely a victim of this very important travel advice. They were headed to the beautiful Islands of Capri, and Typed in Carpi, nearly 400 miles away. Although they did not cross any bridges or get on any boats to reach their “island’ destination, they were completely oblivious as they asked a local where a particular restaurant was. They Eventually ended up figuring out their geographic mix-up and reached their destination. The couple remains unidentified, but hopefully they will become more aware of small, but very important, details.
Trick Foiled for the Fake Police Officer
Many people do things that they shouldn’t, and chances are they will get caught. Antonio Fernandez Martinez of Oakland was impersonating an Police Officer, and ironically pulled over an undercover Cop. Bad news for this car thief, he may be facing a prison term.
Twitter in real life
Twitter is the hottest thing around. With millions (maybe billions) of people tweet updates about their lives.

iPhone Virus
iPhone users beware a new virus has emerged that gets sent as a simple sms text. Some sort of bug in the way that the iPhone handles text messages makes them susceptible to viruses sent in this manner. Researchers Collin Mulliner and Charlie Miller can send a virus that not only damages their phone but also allows them to access call logs, send texts messages, and make calls. Imagine a virus that sent all of your contacts a virus, then it sent all of their contacts a virus. It would spread faster than any virus you have ever seen. As we speak Apple is designing software to protect the iPhone, but now that sending it a virus is a proved possibility every two bit hacker and their mother will attempt to do the same.
The fancier the phone gets the more ways it can break…
- iPhone’s are now susceptible to virus’s
7 year old boy steals a car
A 7 year old boy living in Plain City said it was to hot to go to church, so instead he stole a car. Police tailed it for over ten blocks. The child got up to 45 miles an hour even though he had to scoot down to do so blinding him. Investigators choose not to charge the young man with anything because he is so young, though they considered charging his parents with negligence. Police just hope that the boy’s parents will keep a closer eye on him.
The Video below is NOT the same child. This video is yet ANOTHER 7 year old boy who stole a car. This child got angry, stole his grandmothers car with a friend who “smokes with ciggarettes”. Since when were little kids such thugs?
Bizarre Commercial
This is the most bizarre commercial. ‘Where white and black people can buy furniture!”
WHAT?!?
A ‘New Moon’ is rising
The Twilight saga swept through teenage girls (and the occasional boy) like wild fire, thrusting them deep into love with Edward Cullen, the dreamy vampire. It wasn’t long before Twilight made its way to the big screen, where it had a rousing welcome by Twihards (that is what Twilight fans call themselves). Now New Moon is scheduled to follow in it’s predecessor’s rather large footprints. Though only trailers and speculation are out about the 2nd movie, already fans are salivating for New Moon.
WoW banned in China

World of Warcraft has over 10 million subscribers, of those around half are from China. Or at least they were. The Chinese government has been implementing new internet restrictions and WoW is one of the unfortunate websites that got the boot.
Blizzard, the company who runs WoW, recently changed over the company operating WoW in China from The9 to NetEase. However this has caused some problems. It was thought that WoW would be up an running in China by the end of June, but as you can tell this hasn’t happened. Something must have gone wrong in negotiations.
Speculation blames an investigation into the partnership between Blizzard and NetEase by the Chinese government. They say that they have suspended WoW in China because of a possible illegal joint venture between the two companies.
What ever the reason for the indefinite ban on World of Warcraft in China, the Chinese government is going to be dealing with about 5 million very angry WoW subscribers jonesing for their online life. I wonder how long the government is going to be able to keep WoW down… Maybe Blizzard didn’t pass along a large enough paper bag.
