iPhone users beware a new virus has emerged that gets sent as a simple sms text. Some sort of bug in the way that the iPhone handles text messages makes them susceptible to viruses sent in this manner. Researchers Collin Mulliner and Charlie Miller can send a virus that not only damages their phone but also allows them to access call logs, send texts messages, and make calls. Imagine a virus that sent all of your contacts a virus, then it sent all of their contacts a virus. It would spread faster than any virus you have ever seen. As we speak Apple is designing software to protect the iPhone, but now that sending it a virus is a proved possibility every two bit hacker and their mother will attempt to do the same.
