Friday, December 11th, 2009

Tennessee State University College of Business is now allowing their students to receive an MBA while finishing coursework in China. An online program will permit students to study international business with Chinese students. Dr. Tilden Curry, dean of TSU College of Business, stated that, “We have taken a multi-faceted approach in making our MBA program available at Tianjin Polytechnic University. It is linked to our ongoing efforts to enhance the international dimensions of our academic program, support the university’s mission and offer our students a global perspective.”

TSU has also offered educational partnerships in the Ukraine, Malawi and Tunisia.

TSU’s Head Coach Resigns After Upset Win

Friday, November 20th, 2009

It’s not often that you see big, tough football players brought down to knees crying, but that is exactly what happened on Thursday night as TSU’s own coach James Webster announced to them that he would be Leaving the Universities football program. Even though the team has only 4 wins, Coach Webster still says that he is proud of them.

Webster’s choice to leave was most likely influenced by the teams record under his guidance. After all, you can’t expect to have 3 losing seasons and not expect some heat to come down on you.

Despite this sad turn of events, TSU did upset Eastern Illinois in last night’s game, something that coach Webster is proud of. Also, Webster is glad that his players have been able to keep out of trouble and hopes that they can keep some of the guidance he taught them in the five years that he has been at the school. His only hope now is that TSU gets a new coach soon, as no replacement has been announced yet.
