The Mist Starring: Thomas Jane and Marcia Gay Harden

Rated: R

Synopysis:

  • Following a violent thunderstorm, artist David Drayton and a small town community come under vicious attack from creatures prowling in a thick and unnatural mist. Local rumors point to an experiment called “The Arrowhead Project” conducted at a nearby top-secret military base, but questions as to the origins of the deadly vapor are secondary to the group’s overall chances for survival. Retreating to a local supermarket, Drayton and the survivors must face-off against each other before taking a united stand against an enemy they cannot even see.
  • Review: This hands down one of the best movies I have ever seen. Stephen King out did himself in this one. It was one of the scariest things I have witnesses. Now let’s face it is Stephen King and there are monsters. However the monsters are secondary to human nature in this movie. It is the world we live in today. It scared the crap out of me. I urge anyone to watch this movie and when it over if you end it untouched in your heart you have ice running through your veins. People are not inately good that is a myth we tell ourselves to go on living blindly. Put people in certain situtations and you will see this movie did that. You will see there is more bad than good in this movie. I realize it is only a movie but it rocked my core and that rarely happens. I am shaken to my bones.
