When you put on a Necky Scarf you will forget you own any others. The Necky Scarf is so warm and comfortable you’ll never use your old scarves again, for your neck that is.

Don’t throw out those old scarves though they can be recycled into useful items. The first item is a throw or blanket for your couch or bed. Sew them together lengthwise for a throw or sew them back to back first and fill them with feathers or filling. Then you can sew them together for a thick and warm blanket of many colors and patterns.

The other project involves cutting them lengthwise into strips and then mixing up the strips and braiding them. As you finish each one sew another onto the end until you have a very long braid. Then you can wind the braid into circle and sew together for a throw rug or soft bathmat.

Don’t forget the obvious uses also such as draft stoppers on windowsills or under doors.

All of these are great ideas for using old scarves that have been replaced with the Necky!

Whether you’re on to a new fashion trend or you simply can’t stand the look of an old, drab scarf, there’s no need to toss it in the garbage quite yet. There are plenty of things you can do with your old scarves and you’ll even save a few dollars along the way! If you’re still not satisfied, donate your old scarves. After all, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure!

1) Decorate your windows with your scarf collection. Use them as curtain tie backs or valances. Sew on tiny details, such as rhinestones or beads for added flair. Or, sew several scarves together and use them as window treatments or curtains.

2) Frame your scarves for some instant artwork that won’t cost much. Use your better-looking scarves, such as a silk-made one that is lightweight and beautiful in color. This is a great way to add instant color to any ordinary room. And, don’t forget to get creative with how you lay or fold your scarf on the matting.

3) Cover the fireplace or table with your old scarves. Stretch them out and iron them for a clean and pressed look. Use them as table runners or toss them over your mantle piece. Not only will your tables and fireplace have a freshened-up look, but the scarves can help protect the surfaces from nicks and scratches.

4) Wrap old scarves around your throw pillows for a look that makes a bold statement. This is a great way to freshen up old pillows without having to buy new ones. And, you can swap out the scarves on a regular basis for new-looking pillows all the time!

5) Use the scarves to tie around decorative accents, such as vases. Large candles work well, too, and you can get away with turning your collectibles into instant works of art.

6) Make a fashion statement by reusing your scarves as bandannas on a hot and humid day, or while working out. Scarves can also be tied around the waist or worn loosely around the neck as an accessory.

Few things are as warming on chilly autumn and winter nights than hot spiced cider. It also makes a great beverage to serve at any holiday gatherings.

Hot spiced cider is basically apple cider boiled with specific spices that give it a zesty zing and put you in a mood to match the season.

It’s incredibly easy to make hot spiced cider with apple cider or apple juice and simple spices like nutmeg, allspice, cloves, and cinnamon. Here’s a great recipe & walkthrough for making perfect hot spiced cider from BettysKitchen on YouTube.

So slip into something warm and snuggly and pour yourself a mug of hot spiced cider. You’ll soon find the chill driven away!

Anyone who’s ever been to New York City in winter, be it for work, travel, or everyday life, knows just how cold it can get on the mean streets of Manhattan. The wind whips down the avenues and streets until you’re chilled to the bone.

One of the toughest things to do is keep your neck and chest warm with the design of many stylish and conventional coats. A little V neck can cause a major chill if any skin is exposed, and scarves don’t usually go down deep enough to completely cover any exposed areas of your chest.

But the city can be a gorgeous place in winter, especially in the time leading up to and just after Christmas. And who’d pass up the chance to go spend New Year’s Eve in Times Square? But before you brave Manhattan in winter, you’d better get a Necky Scarf, this year’s perfect solution for wintertime wind and chill.

The Necky Scarf covers not only your neck but your chest, too. It’s ultra warm and comfortable. It comes in an array of colors so it’ll match any jacket. And at only $19.95 it’s an inexpensive weapon to have in your keep warm arsenal for trips into the Big Apple.

So don your Necky Scarf, buy a couple hot chestnuts from a street vendor to tuck inside your mittens to warm your hands in a uniquely New York fashion, and give winter a try in New York City. You’ll find it’s far easier to bear and much more enjoyable with something like the Necky Scarf removing one major concern from any winter outing the unpleasant bite of cold.

The Necky Scarf is set to take the world by storm this winter, and with good reason. It’s the ideal way to keep both your chest and your neck warm when there’s a chill in the air. Here are five ways you can put a Necky Scarf to good use!

1. Airplane travel It gets chilly on airplanes and they don’t hand out blankets on many flights now. Bring your Necky Scarf and you can keep your neck and chest warm key temperature points the whole time.

2. Skiing Even if you’re bundled up in a zip-up ski jacket, you can never have too much warmth on your neck and upper chest. The Necky Scarf will fit under your jacket and help prevent the chill of the mountains from stopping you!

3. Fighting illness at the first sign of a head or chest cold you should be wearing a scarf outdoors and, when chilly inside, indoors too. The last thing you need to do is further lower your resistance and invite germs to take over your throat and chest. Keep both warm and protected with the Necky Scarf.

4. Protecting children Keep your kids happy and healthy when they go to play in the snow with a Necky Scarf. For all the reasons you bundle them up before their winter adventures, you should consider using a Necky Scarf instead of a traditional scarf, to offer greater coverage.

5. Everyday wear The cold sneaks in around the neckline of your jacket and clothes in ways you least expect it. The end result is a cold back of your neck (which lowers your body temperature), cold throat, and cold chest. None of these things feels good! But a Necky Scarf addresses all three. Whenever you travel out into the cold, a Necky Scarf can be your best friend and first line of defense against a chill.

Ever struggled to tie a winter scarf in a perfectly stylish and warm way? YouTube to the rescue! Here’s a video wherein stylist Amy Salinger teaches TimeOut Chicago easy, quick ways to tie winter scarves. Especially good for ladies looking to accessorize with a scarf, too.

Many people think they’re bound to sacrifice fashion when they wear a really warm winter scarf. But it doesn’t have to be all about bulk and clunky fabrics, and it doesn’t all have to be about a simple wrap-around style. Warm scarves come in a variety of types and once you’ve found the scarf you love, it’s easy to learn how to tie it fashionably with this video.

And if you don’t want the fuss, but still want a style that looks classic and matches your attire, a Necky Scarf that comes with a chest-warming panel is a great alternative.

So is there one “right” way to wear a scarf? There is definitely some controversy as to how men should wear scarves, as the traditional way was for men to tuck them underneath their jackets, remaining barely visible. More modern styles include the scarf being wrapped, twisted, and looped in every which way.

The reason why some men are hesitant to loop and tie their scarves is for fear that they will look too feminine. Yet some designers swear that this is the latest fashion trend and that men should proudly wear their scarves outside of their coats. Others disagree and instead feel that a man’s scarf should be tucked underneath his coat, with only the top exposed above the collar and the tie within view.

The good news is that men have plenty of choices when it comes to wearing a scarf. Here are some pointers – when wearing a lightweight, silky scarf , tuck it underneath the jacket and use it to bring in some color. When wearing thick, knitted scarves on the other hand, be creative, and loop and knot away!!

If you live in a cold climate, winter scarves are probably a necessary part of your wardrobe. After all, without these handy accessories, your neck would be cold and the skin would be exposed. And, you can’t deny the cute and trendy appearances that scarves instantly add to any winter outfit.

However, scarves are not recommended for young children, as the long ends can pose as a strangulation hazard, especially when participating in winter activities, such as sledding or tobogganing. It’s also not uncommon for kids to resist wearing scarves, as they can be big, bulky, and uncomfortable to wear. Instead of worrying about the length of your child’s scarf or simply skipping it all together, there’s an alternative – the Necky Scarf.

The Necky is smartly designed and perfect for children – and adults, too! To use the Necky, all your child has to do easily fasten it behind the neck with adjustable Velcro-like fasteners. There are no long ends to fuss with, no knots to tie, and no hazards to worry about! With all the fun colors, including navy blue and pink, your child will fall instantly in love with these comfortable, fleece scarves! They also have a convenient pocket for your child to keep his MP3 player or iPod handy.

There are plenty of fab finds this winter season, and scarves are a must-have accessory for any wardrobe! These cute accessories keep you warm, while offering a stylish look that’s hard to pass up. Best of all, scarves are affordable, most costing about $25 or less. This makes it easy to stock up on several different colors and styles that you can mix-and-match with winter sweaters and jackets.

While scarves are stylish and a great way to keep warm, there’s certain fashion trends you’ll want to watch out for this 2010 winter season:

1) Solid colors are in; black, tan, and charcoal are all great finds that match well with patterns, plaids, and dark tones.

2) Instead of the traditional big, bulky scarves with knots and bulges, lightweight scarves are the trendy way to go! These scarves tuck underneath sweaters and coats, keeping you warm while not exposing the skin.

3) Neutral colors are best, as they’re great for layering and match well with the dark, neutral tones of the winter season.

4) Fleece is an excellent material for winter, as it’s fashionable, breathable, and warm. Plus, the casualness of fleece makes it great to wear with jeans, khakis, or black pants.

5) If you choose to add color to your wardrobe, try a scarf in a vibrant shade of pink, purple, or navy blue.

All of these qualities can be found in the Necky Scarf, a fleece scarf that is worn around the neck, but loses the bulges that scarves are known for. Soft to the touch, easy to wash, and costing under $20, this is one must-have accessory for the winter!

And, with winter on its way, we know that plenty of new accessories will be coming to the shelves of the nearest clothing store. So far there is one item that you can count on to be fashionable and functional – the Necky!

Gaining popularity at record speed, the Necky Scarf was designed to impress. Made from soft, warm fleece, this scarf has an innovative design that works out the kinks that we’ve all experienced with regular scarves. Instead of being big and bulky, the Necky is lightweight, and fastens behind the head with adjustable Velcro-like fasteners. It keeps the neck covered, without exposing the skin like scarves do. And, to keep consistent with its convenient design, the Necky has a small pocket that’s perfect for carrying around a cell phone or MP3 player.

While you can rely on the Necky for ultimate warmth, rest assured that this is one winter accessory that’s super cute as well. It lays flat underneath jackets or sweaters and comes in 5 different colors: pink, charcoal, tan, navy, and black. It’s easy to take on and off, and it folds up compactly so that you can carry your Necky Scarf in a purse or pocket. The scarf can even flip up for some of the colder, windier days, and the fleece material is breathable, wicking away at moisture and drying almost instantly.

Wondering how you can get your hands on a Necky? They can be ordered online for a low price of $19.95 and a limited time offer for free shipping! The Necky Scarf makes the perfect gift for friends, family, or coworkers, and is certainly a great addition to any winter wardrobe!
