Avoid Enamel Erosion from your Teeth
Every part in one’s body has an important role to play. You have enamel in your mouth for the specific reason of protecting your teeth. If this protective layer is damaged you will suffer from tooth decay.
This very tough part is the hardest in the body. It is translucent and protects the tooth against any damage, but also against extreme temperature, which can be either hot or cold. If you can feel the extreme temperature, you can rest assured that the enamel of your tooth has damage. It will have a crack or chip and the body cannot repair it. You will need to call in the help of your dentist.
The best way to avoid your teeth getting to this point is to look after your teeth. Acid is one of the main reasons, which leads to the erosion of your teeth. You may want to limit your intake of soft drinks and a high sugar and starch diet. The acidity in fruit drinks is also high and you should limit your intake of these too.
Other ways of protecting your teeth from eroding is to avoid brushing your teeth too hard, try to not grind your teeth at night through relaxation and limit your intake on aspirin and other medication containing large amounts of acid.
