You place the night guard over your top teeth at night to keep the upper and lower rows of your teeth from making contact with each other.

Bruxism isn’t life-threatening but it can destroy your teeth. It can wear down your enamel. Teeth can become fractured or chipped when this occurs. You may suffer headaches and jaw pain.
