This rake is ideal for extremely fine coats. Directions: For removal of mats, insert blades behind mat. Use a gentle, up-and-down sawing motion to break mat into smaller mats. Use a slicker brush and comb to remove the smaller mats. For use on undercoat of thick-coated or double-coated dogs, insert teeth into coat and drag blades in the direction of hair growth until blades catch in the undercoat. Using a teasing motion, pull upwards to lift the undercoat. Warning: Use caution when brushing around ears or any other area where skin may enter blade structure.
