I’ve had this USB drive in the 640GB version for 3 months now and it works flawlessly and quietly. I also have a Passport 250GB USB drive and the S2 is cooler and quieter than the Passport. It also accesses files faster. Highly recommend this product.

three and a quarter by four and a half by one half inch thick, roughly. i’ve only had it a few days, but that first day i copied over approx. one hundred gigs from various sources and that took a good three hours. and the unit is perfect. exactly what i ordered it for. i like that it is sleek, slim, and light. i will take it with me via trips, to keep our records in case of fire or theft. our picts and files are intact. a great investment. the plug and play was perfect. i have xp home on my desktop and xp on my netbook. i didnt have to download anything, it was plug and play. like a flash/thumb drive. all i did was plug in the usb and everything happened automatically.

i feel a lot secured.

I called Samsung about this product because I was afraid I’d have trouble with Vista Premium x64 recognizing it. They weren’t sure, but said it wouldn’t be hard. When I got it, Vista picked it up immediately and it’s been running silently in the background ever since.

I’ve seen reviews complaining about the fingerprints showing up on the surface. Big deal. If you’re that anal, wipe it on your shirt or carry a tissue. I’m more worried about function. Mine’s gathering dust most of the time until I grab it to plug into another computer. I’m confident my data’s there.
