simple as the title. it died in less than 6 months of use. I didn’t put too much strain on it. it barely fell or hit hard on anything. And one morning it just decided to steal 350GB of data. To restore it is like $1000. Geeshh. I’m a freaking undergrad student. Even if I robbed a bank, i wudn’t be that good to get $1000 for my most important data. This drive is sexy in design until it dies, so fast. Hell.

I am an Amazon fan, almost buying everything from it. But this is the worst one EVER. It died before one year use. It was not touched at all, it went dead suddenly. Recovering data costs over a thousand dollars. I don’t know what to do. If you don’t want to be in my situation, keep youself away from this crap!

Found the 320gb version on sale @ Radio Shack and wish I had bought 3. I have left it on nearly 24hrs a day for 6 months without so much as a hick up. Just plug it into your cpu and enjoy. I would buy this product again.

Works perfectly, NO CABLE PROBLEMS that others describe, could be faster (it may be my computer that’s slow), I can carry it anywhere in confidence.

side note: ALWAYS keep another copy of your work somewhere else, whether its on this drive, your computer, or another drive. There is no such thing as a 100% fail-safe hard drive, they will ALL break eventually. And when the drive breaks, you loose everything on it.
