The Privacy Council
Several years ago, a few different companies, including HD Publishing and Yovia, started the Privacy Council. With the explosion of the social web, the increase in the amount of spam and junk mail, and the fuzzying of the ‘privacy line’ we knew that all of us would be in need of some organized assistance to manage our privacy.
The program is simple – a system takes you off of many of the major marketing lists. You can also check the status of your ‘privacy’ with these major companies.
There is a small fee – $9 to get removed and then $6 per month. Any profits from this go back into the Yovia Contributor assignments.
The program also saves trees. Just the junk mail that is created in the U.S. takes more than a million trees to produce and while there are many things that are great to get in the mail, there is a limit to what most people want and need.
