About

  • I am Wendy Monro. I grew up in Southern California. I earned a B.A. in English at the University of California at Santa Barbara and then a J.D. at Pepperdine School of Law. For the past eleven years, I have been a stay at home mom and wife. Together, my husband and I have four children. I love to cook and to eat delicious food. The more I read and cook different dishes, the more I realize I have so much more to learn. The possibilities are endless which makes it even more fascinating for me. Portions of my blog are printed in the New Ulm Journal as a weekly food column. I am learning each week about food as I learn to cook new dishes and write about the experience. I also write about other people who have a passion for food. Writing and cooking are what I am most passionate about (other than family and friends). Cooking brings family and friends together. Most of my cooking I have learned from my mother, my husband, travelling, or from reading about food. I like to promote the idea that you can have better food, a better life, simply. I hope you will enjoy my entries.
