And the Emmy goes to Joaquin Phoenix
Sep 21
2010
In case you missed it – Joaquin Phoenix recently has created a fair amount of buzz on the web after he appeared on David Letterman a while back. It was apparently supposed to be a normal video to promote his upcoming movie. The problem was he appeared completely ‘out of it’.
Most people, including myself, thought for sure it had been a case of a celebrity taking a little too much ________ in the Green Room and then going on national television. Now, people are saying the whole thing was an elaborate hoax, designed to build buzz for his new movie.

We all know that a crisis like the spill in the Gulf is hurting BP’s brand. But what can we, as marketers learn about how to manage a crisis?
Th
e emergence of social media as a driving force in shaping public opinion has been accelerating over the past five years. The influence of social media “buzz” can have significant impact both positive and negative to a brand and/or issue, from politics to corporate performance.
The case study presented in this paper is an “initial” data collection and analysis of the social media patterns associated with the BP / Deep Water Horizon explosion and resulting oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico in spring 2010. The incident and ongoing, expanding crisis have had major impact on the principals – BP, the Gulf Coast states, including business, political and government leadership – in profound and unanticipated ways as all players try to solve an unprecedented environmental and industrial crisis.

So, Who Is That Dude Named Tiësto?
Jun 14
2010
Born In the Netherlands, and raised on the beats that he himself created, Tiësto is the name of a Dutch DJ who has been paving the way of trance and house music. Tiësto is also the founder of Black Hole Records and has performed for a number of big stages, one including the Olympic opening ceremony in 2004. Today though, Tiësto is known best in America for his new album kaleidoscope and his works with other well-known artists such as three six mafia and Nelly Furtado who songs have been, and still remain on the top charts of the music industry billboard.
If you are someone who is just starting to get into Trance music, Tiësto is the artist you want to start listening to. In Europe, his music has allowed him to achieve worldwide fame and many notable leadership positions over the years. Songs such as In My Memory, Just Be, and Feel it have allowed him to become Officer of the Order of Orange-Nassau, a position he was appointed to by Queen Beatrix herself. He is also an official ambassador for the Dance4Life foundation, an organization who helps out people with HIV and Aids that need help. In a nutshell though, Tiësto is a DJ who loves great music and helping others. To some people, he is the best in the genre and continues to be the leader in his profession.

Stream Deadmau5
Jun 14
2010
As most of us know at this point Deadmau5 (Pronounced Dead-Mouse) has just broken new grounds in the techno-house genre. The music is just phenomenal. I wanted to make sure that everybody had a chance to listen to some of his work so here is one of his songs to stream. This song will change every 2 days for the rest of June. If you have a request for a song you would like to be able to stream for free then leave a comment and I will do my best to find it for you on the internet. There is nothing quite like streaming music for free legally.
