An Interesting Blog By Steven Meyer Jr

I was browsing the web and I noticed an article on a project that the British are attempting and it really interested me. The London Garden Project will try to get a major portion of London to take cars away and ride on new environmentally friendly bikes and buses. The new high-tech bike design is super lightweight, can  electricity from you pedaling and has solar panels on the hubless wheels. All this will either all you to power the small motor in it, to propel you like an electric bike or it can store the power in a battery inside of it. The project has an idea for a “Bike Rack” that will lift your bike into the air  and store it there. The whole point of being in the air is in hopes of the wheels turning in the ind and possibly generating wind power. The e buses could take electricity from you battery in exchange of a bus fare. I really like this concept and I cannot wait until something like this happens to the world. Cars are a necessity, but why do you need cars if you create a well designed city with an amazing Public Transit System? I have a couple ideas of my own and, quite possibly, I will create my own design for something like this.

I recently heard that Toronto is also
    considering buying motor-powered bikes
for (mostly) tourists to ride around the
city with the added convenience of being
able to leave the bike at the end of their
travel without having to return it to the
original location where they rented it.

Electric bikes sound very sensible to me,
but with the spoiling of our N.American
society, we are not likely to give up
    traditional cars too quickly. Perhaps
the next or the next generation after that.
