Submit Your Stupid Commercial

Half the fun of a stupid blog like this is to allow everyone to participate.

Here are the rules

  1. It must be a commercial, not an infomercial or direct response television. More details.
  2. We may not be able to respond to every submission and use every idea since someone has to be a gatekeeper and someone has to share your assessment that it is in fact, a stupid commercial. The more submissions we get, the harder that will become.
  3. If you wish to get credit, include your name, username, handle, nickname, pseudonym or something by which we can identify you and give you credit for your submission.
  4. Profane and offensive language will not be tolerated. That of course is open to subjective interpretation, but we believe you can make your point without being brutally vulgar. Think of the very rules that apply to network television and you should be good to go.
  5. If we can’t show it somehow, we can’t really use it. That doesn’t mean you have to supply the link, we just have to be able to find an example of it somewhere. If you have a link to a video and it’s publicly available, we welcome it.
  6. If your suggestion is used, we will build it into our usual format and of course add our own thoughts to it. Your original comments may or may not appear depending upon how you submit it and how much you have to say.

How to Submit
Having said all that, stupid commercials can strike at any time, but with your help and continued vigilance, we can make a stand…together.
