Greetings, Yovia resellers! March is here, and with it, a new reseller newsletter full of the info and updates you need. Let’s leave winter behind and “spring” forward this month!

Featured Reseller

Each month, we feature a reseller who has done an exceptional job of closing accounts and fostering ongoing ad spends. This month, that reseller is Brian Snider! Brian is President and Chief Creative Officer for The GRI Marketing Group, Inc. When it comes to Social Velocity, he “thinks big,” bringing in high-profile clients like Elle Magazine and Aviation Week. His enthusiasm and determination in seeking potential community sponsors is obvious, and he has not hesitated to seek input from Yovia staffers on what Social Velocity can do for his clients. Here’s a little more about Brian:

1. How long have you been with your company? 24 years

2. What is your sales or marketing background before GRI? I spent 4 years in sales for a Fortune 500 Telcomm firm, and 1 year at sales for start-up e-mail firm.

3. Are there any particular businesses/industries/verticals you tend to target? Publishing, Insurance, Business Services, IT

4. What would you say makes you so successful at selling Social Velocity? I have a very strong relationship (trust, track record of successful direct marketing programs) with my clients. Once I was able to conceptualize the program, I found an eager audience with my clients because social media is a hot topic and everyone is exploring how best to implement it. What I like most about the Yovia model is that you have a small test opportunity (the SVE), which allows the client to see how this can work without investing a large amount of capital up front.

5. Do you have any tips/suggestions for resellers who might be struggling? Make sure you have a good understanding of Yovia’s service offering. Use some of Yovia’s case studies to reinforce Yovia’s expertise. You have a huge competitive edge over many other social media firms in that you do not have to ask for a major commitment at first —you can prove the value first with the SVE. I like to say “let’s date first, and then we’ll see where it goes.” Today, everyone is under the gun to show results … and Yovia has the model to do just that!

Congratulations, Brian, on your success!

Success Story of the Month

Each month, we highlight a campaign that generated outstanding results for the community sponsor. This month, the success story is National Laundry Equipment! This company offers discounted new and used commercial laundry equipment to hotels, hospitals, Laundromats and other commercial laundry facilities nationwide, as well as parts for a variety of laundry machines. During the evaluation period, the Social Velocity campaign generated 12 leads for National Laundry Equipment, with a conversion rate of over 4.5% (the average for a campaign is 3.3%). Also, the campaign generated 14 first-page Google search ranks for fairly common search terms, which is far above average. The National Laundry Equipment campaign is a reminder that products and services don’t have to be “glamorous” to have exceptional Social Velocity!

March Training

Want a refresher on Social Velocity? Sign up for the March training sessions! We’ve scheduled three intensive Thursday sessions: March 11, March 18 and March 25, all at 2 pm Eastern. If you’ve already attended an earlier, paid training, you can attend this training for FREE! So if you think you missed something the first time around or just want another chance to have the details of Social Velocity explained by Yovia CEO Jalali Hartman, mark your calendar and watch your email inbox for a link to the coming training.

Housekeeping – Make sure to check out the Yovia portal often (http://www.yovia.com/portal). Right now, you will find an updated SV Eval Form (one that requests admin Google Analytics access and an Analytics number), an updated “How to Request a Proposal” document, and other helpful support materials. Please make sure you are using the most up-to-date forms and materials at all times! Also, don’t forget that the Yovia support staff members are always available to help you talk through prospects, brainstorm campaign ideas, etc. We can even get on a call with you and the potential community sponsor, if that helps! Just ask.

Coming Soon – Watch for more great campaigns starting soon, thanks to you outstanding resellers! Social Velocity Evaluations in the works include Northwestern College, Framescape, C US Bank, MTI Whirlpools and Absolute Vending. New ongoing campaigns are also ramping up, earning residual income for resellers!

Don’t forget – Got feedback or suggestions for us at Yovia? Please share with us! You can email reseller@yovia.com with any feedback you have. Thanks!

Greetings, Yovia resellers! There are so many great things going on in our reseller program; we want to make sure you have the latest information and news available. This newsletter will be sent out at the beginning of each month to keep you up-to-date on opportunities, trainings and success stories from the reseller program!

Featured Reseller

Each month, we feature a reseller who has done an exceptional job of closing accounts and fostering ongoing ad spends. This month, that reseller is Tom Murphy! Tom, a WSI IC, has been our most prolific reseller, bringing in 9 accounts in the past few months. He has embraced Social Velocity and is a pro at pitching the benefits and ROI of the Social Velocity Evaluation. He’s also great at working with the Yovia support staff to bring the best possible results to the community sponsor. Here’s a little more about Tom:

1. How long have you been a WSI IC? 18 months

2. What is your sales background, if any, before WSI? I was in financial sales years ago until I made the determination that I suck at selling. It worked out for the best because I went back for my MBA and got into the technology side of things.

3. Are there any particular businesses/industries/verticals you tend to target? We have seen a good response from consumer driven industries – B to C particularly in retail and special interest sections. We have tried several industries and are not ruling any out at this point.

4. What would you say makes you so successful at selling Social Velocity? I love it, so it helps when I am pitching to the client. The deliverables are great and take away a lot of effort from my team and expense from the client. In the past we would piece together multiple social media networks and actively manage campaigns. It was the hard way. Now we turn over the management to Yovia and implement the recommendations. Our questions are answered within a few weeks.

5. Do you have any tips/suggestions for resellers who might be struggling? Use the team to help get your arms around the concepts and create a pitch for the clients. It is not for everyone, but when it hits it will hit big. Don’t forget that there is opportunity in everything we do, from driving traffic to analyzing the conversions. Keep an open mind and listen to the client; things are not always what they seem. Some of my best prospects are those who try to do it themselves.

If you’re a reseller who could use a little more inspiration, Tom can be reached at tom@wsiroiic.com. Congratulations, Tom, on your success!

Success Story of the Month – Each month, we highlight a campaign that generated outstanding results for the community sponsor. This month, the success story is Radio City Christmas Spectacular! This touring holiday show became a community sponsor in order to promote their performances in various cities. They had a solid offer (discounted tickets) and a very clear message that they wanted to promote (“come to the show this holiday season”). During the course of the campaign, Yovia generated more than 264,000 impressions, more than 1,250 clicks and 63 leads for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular! The community sponsor was delighted with the results.

Special Note – We want to offer special congratulations to the WSI reseller channel! Our WSI ICs are doing a fantastic job of converting SVEs into ongoing ad spends, with roughly 50% of the community sponsors opting to continue their Social Velocity campaigns past the SVE. Great work, WSI ICs!

Housekeeping – Make sure to check out the Yovia portal (http://www.yovia.com/portal). Updated Social Velocity evaluation forms were just added (which clarify to the client the need for Google Analytics), a new pitch document was uploaded in December, and new updates, documents and support materials are uploaded regularly.

Also, don’t forget that the Yovia support staff members are always available to help you talk through prospects, brainstorm campaign ideas, etc. We can even get on a call with you and the potential community sponsor, if that helps! Just ask.

Coming Soon – Many of you resellers have been hard at work bringing in some truly great community sponsors, and for that, we congratulate you! Campaigns for some of these community sponsors will be starting soon, including Elle Magazine, St. Martin’s Press, National Laundry Equipment and TheStreet.com. We’re also seeing great verticals built around local businesses, including law offices, car dealerships, martial arts centers and others.

Don’t forget – Got feedback or suggestions for us at Yovia? Please share with us! You can email reseller@yovia.com with any feedback you have. Thanks!
