Pretty darn simple in it’s design. The construction is rock solid. The tolerances between the removable parts are very exacting, way beyond what I expected. Makes a perfect cup of tea. Looks like it will last a very long time… could end up a family heirloom, who knows….

I originally bought one of these in the store and loved it but when I went back to get a couple for friends they weren’t selling them anymore. Everyone that comes over just thinks it’s a great idea. You just slide in the strings through the cover and put it on your cup to steep the tea and when your done take the lid off, slide the strings up and squeeze the bag out. With the lid you can carry the bag over to the garbage to throw it out and your hands stay dry through the whole process. Before I was brewing a whole pot of one kind of herbal tea for everyone to save guests from the whole teabag hassle and now everyone can have their favorites by the cup.

I bought two of these – one for work and one for home. They are extroidinarily useful as they include a tray to put the drippy strainer on after you are done with it. Plus, it looks cute. It works well with even fine-leafed teas. The only thing I wish is that it was deeper – the bowl is somewhat shallow, so it works better for me in ordinary teacups, as opposed to large travel mugs. Still, works great for me, and has a pretty design.
