Diablo 3 vs Starcraft 2

Blizzard has us all in anticipation regarding the release of two of it’s biggest games, Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2. Being a moderate gamer I’ve played Starcraft and the Diablo series and loved em both. To be honest the first game I can even remember playing was the original Diablo, I recall my friend using the dupe trick to generate a second set of armor to get me started, what a wonderful memory.

On one hand you have one of the most anticipated sequels in gaming history, Starcraft 2, and a totally revamped 3rd edition to complete the Diablo trilogy.

So the question is, which of the 2 games looks more exciting?

I know Starcraft has had a huge impact on gamers so it’s most likely that it will be more popular upon release, but to be honest it doesn’t look all that great, I mean what more can you do with RTS’s anyway?

Diablo 3 looks beautiful, for what I’ve seen they are completely retooling the game to make it even more enjoyable, yeah it will prolly turn out like the other 2 where you get to level 50 and realize that youre sick of doing the same thing over and over again, hey call me crazy but i kinda like it!

    I am not familiar with these games…I only know of warcraft from South Park…which I understand was fairly accurate….I say which ever game is the most expensive is the one I like the most.

    As an adult who was literally raised on computer games starting with scorched earth over 15 years ago, I can honestly say that blizzard knows how to make em like no other. That being said, how to we decide which game to get more hyped up about!? The answer is forget the hype – both these games are gonna blow their predecessors out of the water and off the internet.

    Logically speaking, Starcraft II is likely to be the victor. It’s got a larger target population/fan-base and blizzard has nourished it like a true prodigy. For those of you that never liked RTS games, go ahead and Diablo me.

    I am more anticipating Diablo 3 then Starcraft 2. Why you ask, well lets see here. First of all Starcraft doesnt bring anything different accept the same damn thing and a couple of units oh and i forgot the whole 3d world..woopty. I Personally love Dawn of War 2 and i think it already blows Starcraft out of the water. 4 races, different heros, each expansion guarantess 2 new races. What does the starcraft expansions gave? nothing! Download the Dawn of War 2 demo and you will enjoy it alot more then PG Starcraft.

    Starcraft has been in need of a sequel for many years now. Now the question is did they decide to release the sequel a little too late. I mean i for one was in love with the series like 8 or 9 years ago when it was first released and now…well not so much.

    I like Rts’s more because i feel like i have more control of the game im playing…Not to mention im way burned out ont he whole “leveling up a character to get better armor to level up more thing” and that’s probably hat diablo 3 will be like = /

    If Starcraft 2 manages to be as good as the first one, it’s going to make a much bigger impact than Diablo3 :)

    By the way Blizzard said that Starcraft 2 will be released this year!

    Mike Morhaime, President and co-founder of Blizzard, announced today on E3 that Starcraft 2 that the game will be released before the year ends. Starcraft 2 will be available for beta testing this summer but of course the final Starcraft 2 release date could still be delayed until Blizzard deems the sequel for Korea’s national sport fit for release.

    I’ve always hated Starcraft and Starcraft 2 looks like crap as well. Ive always hated RTS there all the same even if there graphics are diffrent. see some things on screan at above head view.. take the mouse pointer make a square or circle around the people to highlight them. right click and click ” move here” see a monster way over there, right click the monster ” attack” then let go of the mouse and let the npc do EVERYTHING.. so boring. While Diablo 3 of corse and Diablo 2 you have to MOVE your character around with the mouse, yes you click to attack but you controll when you attack over and over again, you cant sit back and be lazy and let everything be done for you. if you stand there on diablo 2 or 3 your pretty much dead. on RTS just.. highlight, click and let the team of yours or what ever do everything for you while you sit back, take a sip of soda or what ever you drink, maybe some popcorn etc. its so boring >.>>>starcraft and all RTS out there ever made and the ones made into the future millions of years from now. i say cancel Starcraft 2 and just bring out diablo 3 this year instead.

    I’ve been a diablo fanatic for years and now i have a lvl 98 assassin and rite now i just collect items with NPC’s names on them and for starcraft i never heard of it ?????????
