It works on -some- carpets. I have several throw carpets in the house, this vacuum works on the flat low pile carpets just fine, but it is useless on plush high pile carpets.
But it is the ABSOLUTE BEST for hardwood. It gets dirt up that my upright just passed over and even cleaned up construction dust! I would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t such a pain to pick the dog hair out of the bristles when I finish.
One last thing for fearful dog owners, my dog is a bit of a scaredy cat and would always attack the upright, but has no problems with this vacuum. In fact, she even let me vacuum her! LOL Yay for less dog hair around the house!

I love love love this vacuum. It’s light, has all the attachments I like (small brush, large brush, crevice). Bagless, and easy to empty canister. Does great on hardwood floors, and even on tough jobs. (This is not the vacuum for you if you have a lot of carpet. It works fine on low-pile though). The reason I wrote this review is because of how versatile this machine is. Today we were sanding exposed beams in our 20 foot high attic, and this vacuum worked like a charm to get the beams clean! It comes with a strap so you can sling it across your back and go anywhere with it. I purchase this vacuum because my grandmother has it – it’s a great size for older people as well, because it’s not too heavy, and they can maneuver it easily.

I bought this vaccuum to replace my Dirt Devil upright since it keeps breaking the belt for the brush. I live on a apartment and yes we have carpet flooring, but the carpet are the ones used in all bussiness office (not too fluffy). This vacuum works very well with that type of carpet picking up from hair to rice and cereals on the rug. I did try this with my sisters fluffier carpeting in their house and yes it sucks the carpets to point it stays in place and is hard to push around with it. Suction is excellent and the price is very cheap than the conventional uright. One advantage I like about this vacuum is that it can reach under the sofa way deeper than my upright, that includes the dining table and chairs as well. Its even way excelent on hardwood floors. Ill definitely buy another one. Also. no more buying belts for the brush, this has no brush which is why it save me money, I always replace the belts on my upright every 3 or 4 months, somehow its always breaking for me.

Just replaced our 10+ years old Breeze. It still worked but not as well. The Breeze is so lightweight and easy to use. Take it out for small pickups and the stairs effortlessly. Great suction on hardwood floors and area rugs. Very good for my back and my budget.

I don’t like the entire vacuum being plastic. Plus it is too lightweight.It keeps moving when I am vacuuming. It doesn’t pick up very well on rugs. It does okay on my hardwood floors.But I do have many rugs throughout the house, so it would be nice if it had more suction when cleaning the rugs. Was a decent price.
