Can’t say that I didn’t it coming. I really hope that everything works out in the end. I was listening on the radio today, and they had a discussion about how the paparazzi are going to be about a thousand times worse because of the news. I really feel sorry for the kids now.

So Jon and Kate are making a huge announcement on Monday’s show. Although TLC is not commenting on this announcement, so they don’t spoil anything, they are encouraging viewers to make their own hypothesis. Since the fifth season premier, viewers witnessed Kate stating that their love for each other had been growing more distant. That show attracted 10 million viewers, but the shows since the premier dropped viewership by more than half. Currently the show is under fire due to violations of child labor laws according to the Pennsylvania’s Labor Department.
My hypothesis for the announcement is that they are ending the show and attempting damage control on their sinking ship of a marriage. At least that is what I hope. Trying to raise 8 children, all of whom are not old enough to take care of themselves, is hard enough, but imagine trying to do it when you’re separated. Are they going to live near each other, in the same house, or are they just going to divide the kids up? I really do not see that as a possibility. I really am rooting for this family to stay together since the way I see it, nobody wins in a divorce, especially with children in the equation. So I am actually going to watch this episode. I’ve seen episodes from the first couple of seasons and thought it was a cute and humorous show.
I know TLC is sweating this because the show is the most popular one on their network. We will see what happens come Monday between 9 and 10 pm. Also, why is the Pennsylvania Labor Department just now starting to investigate child labor violations after 6 seasons? Someone explain that to me.

Who cares about who cheated on who with who, and why is everyone so concerned with how good Kate looks in a bikini? With the latest tabloids it is apparent that the family is now falling into shambles. With all the accusations going around, I think it is time for the media to let them return to a normal life. I like the show, I think it is humorous, but with all the tabloids lately, I just think it is more of a reality show where on-screen seems scripted and thus not making it real at all. But now it is time for the cameras to turn off and for Jon and Kate to reevaluate their marriage and solve their family crisis, especially for the kids.
I am tired of hearing about Jon sneaking around with another woman, then Kate spending time alone with her bodyguard at a beach resort. Seriously? A bodyguard? Are people trying to steal the kids or something? I do not think that a bodyguard is that necessary, unless it is to keep track of all 8 kids when they go to the grocery store, but isn’t there a camera crew following them anyway?
Then you hear about Kate’s obsession with money, I guess that is the reason why she is exploiting the children and wants the documentary to keep going on despite Jon’s plea to stop. I think families are raised better if money isn’t involved.. You learn valuable life lessons as a kid if you know there isn’t a large amount of money available to the family. For one, you learn you cannot have everything you want. Also, you learn to take quick showers, since water costs money. Especially with 10 people trying to take the shower everyday. I couldn’t imagine the children growing up and all of them trying to take a shower before a school. Sacrifices are necessary, and I think Kate needs to make one with the want for more money.
So the family needs to be left alone to sort out of all of their problems. Communication is key and I really do not think it works well with cameras on you 24/7. I would like the family to be successful and I am sure most of America does, too. So no more striking headlines and tv show appearances anymore, and let them see what it is like to be a normal family. I’m sure they would find it more enjoyable than the way they are living now.
