This week’s featured Community Manager is Steve Hartkopf of Aligned Marketing. It’s apparent he is very actively working to build his own social capital and the social capital of his company.
Great value statement video:
Hi, I just wanted to update everyone on a question we’ve been getting about the $750 fee.
We’ve worked hard to keep this as ‘free’ as possible. For $750 we are going to give you (or a client):
A free custom ‘buzz blog‘ for their website
A free lead capture ‘Fidget‘ for use on all social networks
150,000 impressions in the Yovia Network
Each of you will need to have these in place so that we can walk-through Social Velocity.
In addition, we’ll be conducting 4 1-hour training sessions, during which you will become the first Certified Community Managers in the marketplace. This is designed to give you a recurring revenue stream, competitive differentiation and actual social media results for the campaign of your choice.
I did want to extend the invitation that I have to other IC’s:
If you would like to team up with another IC and split the cost, or if you would like us to invoice you (pay with your first sale), that is fine.
We do need to get packages out to you, so please email wsi @ yovia.com or call (904) 242.2669
Hi everyone, just a couple of updates.
1. Registration will close on Friday, August 7 at 5 PM Est. If you are interested in participating in this first training session, and become among the first Certified Community Managers, here is the link:

2. For those of you planning on participating, here is a pre-course survey to take.
This is probably the most common question we get:
The answer is yes.
Social Velocity is not a function of the market you are trying to reach. It even has little to do with Facebook or YouTube.
(The reason these social networks are important is because they naturally connect people.)
Your campaign for Social Velocity should include:
1. Content: Do I have content on my website that is not directly promoting my offer?
2. Connections: How many people is my business connected with, and what is the quality and nature of that connection?
3. Community: Are people talking?
4. Conversion: Does my primary call-to-action include something that turns my customer into an advocate?
These are the real questions. The multiplication effect of Social Velocity comes when these 4 elements are in place.
Industry: B2B Eco-friendly Green Products for TradeShows and corporate gifts.
Problem: How to generate leads for large product orders.
Demographic: Event planners
Tactic: Rather than advertising via search, Yovia implemented a Social Velocity Campaign to:
“Get your own free personalized SIGG bottle”.
Results: Because the campaign was not based around an offer, the message has spread organically. After an initial media spend on Google, Facebook, MySpace and via the Yovia Fidget network, we created an organic viral lead generation funnel via targeted event planners and corporate marketers.
This is currently an invite-only pilot. To learn more about the program, download the latest webinar here.
