In today’s world, there are a lot of things out of our control. Politics, the economy, battles being fought on foreign soil… For most people, there is little they can do except pray, and even then, solitary prayer can sometimes feel, well, solitary. But those who pray for the leaders of our nation don’t have to pray alone anymore… the Presidential Prayer Team is there to bring people together and unite their voices.

The PPT is not a political organization. They don’t try to tell you HOW to pray, and they don’t withhold prayer from politicians with whom they might disagree. No, the purpose of the PPT is to pray for the President, his cabinet, other national leaders and our armed forces, regardless of their political persuasion. The PPT came about after the tragedies of 9/11, and since then, millions of people have participated in prayer to support and guide our leaders.

The PPT provides prayer resources, helpful information and informative articles that can aid you in your prayer. They are a nonprofit organization with a membership that’s continually growing. Their website posts weekly prayer concerns and late-breaking prayer requests that you can address as your faith sees fit; they even give you the ability to “adopt a troop” for whom you can specifically pray.

So if you wish to pray for U.S. leaders and military forces, but you would like a little guidance or the support of many others like you, become a part of the Presidential Prayer Team. There’s no telling just how much of a difference it can make!
