Halifax Health presents Medical Matters - Health care info on your TV

by Erica

Halifax HealthYour health matters. The health of your family matters. And with the spread of diseases like H1N1 (”swine flu”), the prevalence of problems like strokes, and the unknowns of killers like cancer, you are right to be concerned about how health issues can affect you and your loved ones. So how can you get the info you need?

If you’re in the greater Daytona Beach area, you’ve got a great resource right on your TV: Medical Matters, a weekly show produced by Halifax Health. Medical Matters is on every Thursday night from 7:30 pm to 8 pm on WDSC-TV Channel 15 (check your local listings). Each week features a new topic that’s relevant to you and your health interests. For example, this week’s topic (airing October 8th) is about the swine flu, with international expert Dr. Richard Duma. He’ll help dispel the myths, explain the details and help you understand how to avoid this virus. Don’t panic, and don’t miss this show! As a mom, I can say that I’ll be tuning in.

Medical Matters also covers less newsworthy (but still serious) medical topics, like cancers, strokes, spinal issues, surgeries and even “medical miracles” (the Thanksgiving Day show). It’s a great way to get the information you need without having to leave home. Just turn on your TV and let Medical Matters teach you what you and your family should know!
